Hydrometallurgical Recycling Process for Mobile Phone Printed Circuit Boards Using Ozone

Printed circuit boards (PCBs) can be an important source of non-ferrous metals (Al, Sn, Zn, and Ni) precious (Au, Ag, Cu, Pd). With the continuous increase in demand for due to depletion ores, recycling this waste is becoming attractive alternative. The printed circuits also contain hazardous metals, such as Pb, Hg, As, Cd. Due huge amount e-waste, processing metal recovery proper handling substances has a positive effect on environment. Pyrometallurgical hydrometallurgical methods are used treatment waste. Various oxidizing agents processes, including ozone. PCBs from mobile phones were assessed metals. ground sieved materials leached nitric acid, hydrochloric sulfuric acid at various process parameters, leaching time, agent, temperature. It was found that best result obtained using with addition ozone 353 K period 4 h obtain 68.45 g/dm3 copper. Preliminary results electrolysis cementation presented.
